It is always a joy to witness people together who are gracefully confident in who they are. Liz and Ira are those kinds of people. They brought their unique styles, whimsical ways, and precious pup Cooper into their wedding, and their personalities shone bright throughout every aspect of their picturesque event.
Friends, family, and their canine groomsman Cooper gathered along the lush emerald lawn at our Kukahiko Estate. Our Bliss couple walked down the isle with mother and father on either side. Creamy pastel ribbons that mirrored the hues of Liz's fanning rose bouquet hung on guests' seats, dancing along with the breeze and crashing waves as the couple spoke their loving and lighthearted vows to each other.
A delicious, island inspired cuisine was enjoyed on a long, wooden table adorned with light pastel florals, sprigs of greenery, and accented with gold decor.
After dinner, cultures combined with the entrance of the Chinese Dragon.
Liz and Ira's wedding was truly an all-inclusive event--one which incorporated heritage and tradition, family and friends, and of course their beloved dog Cooper. It was not simply the marriage of two individuals, it was the marriage of two different families, backgrounds, and people unwaveringly in love with each other and their cuddly canine.
The "I do's" had been exchanged, the toasts had been given, and the cake had been cut. Liz started off the day in an exquisite jeweled gown, then slipped into a traditional "qua" covered in sequined dragons, a beautiful family garment that her grandmother and mother had worn on their weddings as well, for the dinner festivities. Lastly it was time for her third outfit, and the final segment of the evening. As the sun disappeared, sparklers were lit, and Liz danced out in gorgeous blue heels and her final outfit, a beautiful strapless white dress destined for the stage.
There was not a single moment of anything less than pure enjoyment and utter bliss. We felt so blessed to be a part of such a fun and festive event. Congratulations again, Liz & Ira (and of course Cooper, too).
